Parks and Fire Stations and GMAT's... OH MY!!

This is the best cream puff ever!!
So last weekend was a busy one. We took Crystal and Joey to lunch for her birthday. After lunch we went to the park and for the big surprise we took baby to the fire station and he got to play around with the trucks and clothes and fire fighters. He even got to take a ride. We went to the Wisconsin State fair and ate and ate and ate...

We are trying to enjoy the last few days before school begins. He won't have time to do much of anything as a couple which is going to be pretty sad! However on another note I am totally loving our condo. I just love having all the space and quiet. It is wonderful to just come home to my stuff and my place.

Now to going out with the new ladies group I found online and getting ready to take the GMAT for business school. Alot going on but it is all good and in the right direction.

My Birthday....

I drank both which I enjoyed. :)

Jen and I at Buca Di Beppo
So we went to dinner for my birthday and enjoyed a great dinner with friends and family.

The Next 3 years...

So it has been a while since I have done this. We have been so busy with moving and birthdays and anniversaries that we haven't had time to do anything. Now that we have settled in means I should really keep up with this so I can have something to remember this whole experience by. I know we looked at alot of schools and had a hard time deciding on where to go and we choose Chicago Kent School of Law. I am excited for Steve to start this journey but I am already cant help but wonder where this will take us.
We talk about the kids aspect of things and say we are sure we will wait till at least he is done with school but I am going to make the most out of these next three years. I am going to complete by bachelors and my Masters. I will do great at work and get all the experience I need to go and get a job wherever he goes. I think that I will be more open to trying new places if he gets offered a job. I started feeling today that I might have been too closed minded on where to go. I am realizing that I dont have a whole lot of girlfriends and I need a hobby. I might look into something to get with a group of women. I realized I dont have many things in common with the girls that I have and I need to find out in this next three years what I like and what I want.

4 schools and counting...

So we have been accepted to 4 schools out of the 8 at this point. However I am still feeling anxiety but on a different level. Now we have the options that are asking for seat deposits and intents to enroll. I think now that we have so many options it might make it harder to decide where to go. Every school he choose was a good school so that are all good educations however where to live and when to move are still BIG questions that need to be answered. However I still have to send out graduation announcements and continue on my regular chores. I cant wait for this month and next to be over. I am hoping that however it will go by fast and we will have a decision soon enough!

Apps Are Done and submitted

So at the beginning of the week all 8 applications were submitted. Now we just have to wait and see what comes in the mail. I am pretty nervous but he seems to be calm cool and collected. He is confident that he will get into a school around here so we probably will stay. I already have a job and friends and family so it makes alot of sense to stay here. Although if this snow and cold continue I might just change my mind. It has been a long and stressful process but it is finally done. So if we get a thin envelope then we know it is not a good sign. However if we receive a big packet then he got in. 2-3 weeks better go by quickly so I can stop wondering. I am so ready about finally starting this next chapter in our lives that we have been preparing for over the last 3 years. I am ready to move on from this lifestyle and getting through year 1. We have saved money so at least we will be able to get real furniture and make a place our own. Work has been crazy so I am hoping that it will keep my mind off the wondering and I can start to get excited!

Counting the days...

So I was reading a blog the other day from another law school wife and it got me thinking. She talked about support systems and how important they are when you have someone that counts on you. So I started thinking that even though I am nervous about moving again to another city where I don't know anyone I need to support my husband and go where he will succeed.

With that being said I am now counting the days. We have had some challenging times recently and I am ready to get out and be on our own. However this time it will be different because it will serve a much greater purpose. With that being said I am excited to finally purchase some real furniture and be near our nephew's and niece.

So here's to the warm weather and no snow! I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes through!

Back to blogging..

OK so I know that noone reads my blog but I think that it is time to get back to it for myself. Well we finally decided our 10 schools and did the financial aid. We are really excited because we might be moving to Florida and getting out of the snow. I am happy because I am really tired of the cold. Like for instance today is what is referred to as the "snowpocalypse" because we are offically getting a blizzard. It is gusting to 50mph winds and I have also decided that I am going to take pics of everything we do so that I can post pics to my posts. Here are two to see how it was earlier in the evening and then around 9pm you could almost not see the top of the truck because of the snow drifting..
